ELIGIBILITY
The workshop is open for third & final year students of any engineering discipline, final year Polytechnic students and final year MBA students.
ABOUT COLLEGE
Yashwant Rural Education Society’s , Bapurao Deshmukh College of Engineering was established in 1983 by founder Chairman Late Shri. Bapuraoji Deshmukh , a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi, work on the concept “Teaching is a mission not a profession”. Mission is continued by our present Chairman Prof. Suresh B. Deshmukh & Director, Shri. Samir Deshmukh. The College is recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and permanently affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. The college is awarded Grade ‘A’ by Government of Maharashtra right from its inception and approved as Research Center for Ph. D. & M.E. by research, by RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur. The college is running seven undergraduate programmes in engineering & two Post Graduate programmes. In Last 28 years, the institution has grown in multifold in all areas like Academic Excellence, Infrastructure, Placements, Consultancy & Testing, Overall Students Development, Faculty Development, Upliftment of rural masses and promise to strive hard to continue same journey in coming years.
ABOUT LOCATION
The College is situated near Mahatma Gandhi Ashram (Bapukuti) in Sevagram, about 8 km from Wardha and 4 km from Sevagram railway station and well connected by roads and railways with all major cities in India. It is just 80 km from Nagpur.
ABOUT WORKSHOP
The college has been established separate Entrepreneurship Development Cell with aim to create Entrepreneurial culture in the parent institution and other institutions in the region. The cell work hard every year and conduct Entrepreneurship Development Program for faculty members and students. EDP cell of our institute got Khadi & Village Industries Commission Project sponsored by Ministry of MSME., Government of India, New Delhi & established separate institute name as Bapurao Deshmukh Institute of Leather Technology & General Engineering (BDILTGE), Sevagram. The Institute provides training to students from rural area on Footwear, Leather goods & general engineering products.
