Games & Sports Department

Department of game and sports was established in the academic session 1987-88 with a view to develop sports atmosphere in the campus. Game and sports activity are a necessary part of education. The aim of our department is to inculcate the importance of sports in daily life in the minds of the students which in turn helps in their physical, mental, moral and social development .

Our department motto is, HEALTH IS WEALTH. Every year we organize competitions between different departments so that there can be maximum participation of the students from all departments. It helps in developing their sportsman spirit. Our department also organizes competition at local, district level, inter-institutional level in various games viz. cricket, foot ball and volley ball matches in the memory of our founder Chairman Late Shri Bapuraoji Deshmukh

Being an engineering college our students are going to become good engineers tomorrow but we try hard to imbibe in them the importance of discipline which will help in making them the pillars of our nation.

To encourage girls in sports a lady games and sports lecturer was appointed by the management in the year 1997. Since then our college girls have been actively participating in different games and proving their mettle in the Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University Inter Collegiate Champoinships. Many of them have been representing Nagpur University at the All India University Levels in different games.
