About the Institute:

Yashwant Rural Education Society’s Bapurao Deshmukh College of Engineering was established in 1983 by Late Shri. Bapuraoji Deshmukh, a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi with the concept of “Teaching is a mission not a profession.” This mission is being continued by our present Chairman Prof. Suresh B. Deshmukh. The College is recognized by AICTE and permanently affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. The institute is located at Sevagram, a peaceful place with memories of Gandhiji. There are currently 7 branches running along with 2 PG courses. During the last 28 years, the institution marched ahead with a promise of academic excellence, overall development of its students and promise to strive hard to keep the same atmosphere intact in many years to come.

About Sevagram:

Sevagram is a cool town situated around 5 km. away from Wardha city. Mahatma Gandhi had residence in the Sevagram town for some period. Bapu Kuti (where Mahatma Gandhi was residing) is at 1 km away from the institute approximately. By some means, Sevagram is the tourist place because of Bapu Kuti.
