ABOUT COLLEGE
Yashwant Rural Education Society’s Bapurao Deshmukh College of Engineering was established in 1983 by Late Shri. Bapuraoji Deshmukh, a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi with the concept of “Teaching is a mission not a profession.” This mission is being continued by our present Chairman Prof. Suresh B. Deshmukh. The College is recognized by AICTE and permanently affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University. The institute is located at Sevagram, a peaceful place with memories of Gandhiji. There are currently 7 branches running along with 2 PG courses. During the last 28 years, the institution marched ahead with a promise of academic excellence, overall development of its students and promise to strive hard to keep the same atmosphere impact in many years to come.
ABOUT LOCATION
The College is situated near Mahatma Gandhi Ashram (Bapukuti) in Sevagram, about 8 km from Wardha and 4 km from Sevagram railway station and well connected by roads and railways with all major cities in India. It is about 80 km from Nagpur.
ABOUT WORKSHOP
Power electronics is the application of solid state electronics for the control and conversion of electric power. Continuing advancement in microelectronics is resulting in cheaper and modern high speed switching devices which have revolutionized power electronics. Power electronics revolution empowered us the ability to shape and control the large power with ever increasing efficiency. Due to the marriage of power electronics, the muscle, with microelectronics, the brain, many potential application have emerged including drive control, solar power plants and trend will continue to expand.
Another topic is related with the optimization technique in engineering field. The term of “optimization” refers to the process of searching for the optimum solution from a set of candidates to the problem of interest based on certain performance criteria, which has found broad applications in manufacturing, engineering, finance and logistics etc. Generally speaking, all problems to be optimized should be able to be formulated as a system with its status controlled by one or more input variables and its performance specified by a well defined objective function. The goal of optimization is to find the best value for each variable in order to achieve satisfactory performance. In practice, it could mean to accomplish a predefined task in the most efficient way or the highest quality or to produce maximum yields given limited resources.
